How to update Administration -> Codes

Accessing the Codes feature

  1. Navigate to the ‘Administration’ tab via the upper System Navigation ribbon.

  1. On the Administration Workspace, click on the ‘Codes’ tab located on the left-hand side of the screen

Editing a Code Type

  1. On the Administration Workspace, navigate to the ‘Select Code Type’ field. Use the Dropdown arrow in order to select the code type you wish to edit.

  1. Once the code type has been selected, highlight the value you wish modify and click on the ‘Edit’ button.

  1. Upon clicking on the edit button, the Code Information window displays on the screen. The required fields will be enabled. User should select/type in the information and click ‘Save’

Adding Codes

  1. On the Administration Workspace, navigate to the ‘Select Code Type’ field and click on the dropdown arrow to select the code type you wish to add

  1. Once the code type has been selected, click on the ‘Add’ button.

  1. Select/type in the information and click on the ‘Save’ button.

Note: New codes are visible in the system after the nightly refresh. For this reason, allow up to 24 hours to see a new code in the application.

Inactivating Codes

  1. On the Administration Workspace, navigate to the ‘Select Code Type’ field and click on the dropdown arrow to select the code type you wish to edit.

  1. Once the code type has been selected, highlight the name you wish modify and click on the ‘Edit’ button.

  1. Upon clicking on the edit button, the Code Information window displays on the screen. Click on the ‘Is Inactive’ checkbox and then proceed to click on the ‘Save’ button.

Tips:

  • The ‘Is Inactive’ column on the codes list should change from ‘False’ to ‘True’.

  • The Inactivating of codes allows the user to remove these codes from the dropdown display in the application.
