Adding a New Product
Select the ‘Products’ tab via the upper System Navigation Ribbon.
To add a new ‘Product’, select ‘Add’.
The Product Details page displays. Enter information for the new product previously created. There are two required fields (as indicated by red asterisk): ‘Product Identifier’ and ‘FDA Market Approval’.
NOTE: Users will not be able to save if the minimum required fields are not populated.
Click ‘Save’. The new Product is saved and available in the Product dropdown within Study Properties.
Editing an Existing Product
Select the ‘Products’ tab via the upper System Navigation ribbon.
To edit/modify an existing Product, highlight the Product and click the ‘Edit’ button.
The Product Details page appears. User can modify product data as desired.
After editing desired fields, click ‘Save’ to lock in the changes made to the specific Product.
NOTE: Users will not be able to save if the minimum required fields are not populated.
The new Product is saved and is now available in the Product dropdown within Study Properties.
Linking Product(s) to a Study
Users can link Products to a Study manually via the Study Properties Page.
Products can also be linked directly to Studies via an ETL (brought in via Import).
Note: In order to import a product to Study Properties, a record for that product needs to exist within the Products table.
To manually link a Product to a Study, navigate to the ‘Studies’ Tab and select desired study.
Click on the ‘Study Properties’ icon located on the Study Workspace column.
Click on the ‘Check Out’ icon to check out the study which enables the user to edit/modify study
Scroll down and navigate to the ‘Products Information’ section.
Click on the ‘Product’ dropdown and select the desired Product you wish to link to the study. The user can populate any other required information on the other fields.
Once Product data is entered on the Study Properties screen, click ‘Save’ and ‘Check In’ the Study.
Product data is now appropriately linked to the study.
*NOTE: The ‘New’ Product entered in the previous section correctly displays in the ‘Product’ dropdown on Study Properties page.
