Special Characters in Study fields cause study validation error and cannot be removed

Issue:

Invalid characters (such as non UTF-8 characters, tabs or other special characters) which are imported into Disclose with an XML, prevents the study from being checked in. Trying to check out / check in a study in the future will fail with the error message "One or more fields have script or html elements considered dangerous: <field name>".

Workaround:

Please reach out to [email protected] for assistance with removing the special character using a script. Also, removing the special character in any upstream source system is recommended.

Proposed Resolution:

ADO-61743 has been raised to allow the special character to be removed using the UI and for the study to be checked in.

Affects Version(s):

Disclose 2.23.3.x and lower versions

Fixed Version:

Disclose 2.23.4
